Notice of Attorney Renewal Registration

Notice of Attorney Renewal Registration

In compliance with USCIT Rule 74(e)(1), all attorneys who are members in good standing of the bar of this Court must submit a renewal registration form and registration fee of $50.00, if applicable, by June 1, 2014.1 Fees may be payable by credit card, cash, check or money order to: Clerk, U.S. Court of International Trade, One Federal Plaza, Rm. 299, New York, NY 10278. Law firms or other entities may remit a combined payment for multiple renewal registration fees with one payment. If you pay by credit card, your receipt will be e-mailed by CDG Commerce, the Court’s merchant account vendor. If you pay by check, cash or money order and require a receipt, please ensure that the payment is accompanied with a self-addressed postage-paid envelope.

Unless exempt under Rule 74, an attorney who fails to file the required Attorney Renewal Registration Form and pay the $50.00 renewal registration fee will be permanently removed from the Court’s bar roll, without prejudice to an application for admission as a new member.

The Attorney Renewal Registration Form and additional information can be found on the Attorneys Information Page of the Court’s website at www.cit.uscourts.gov. You may also call the Attorney’s Admissions office at (212) 264-2812.

The $50.00 registration fee is waived for all attorneys employed by the U.S. Government.  See USCIT Rule 74(e)(2).   Should the payment of this renewal fee present a significant financial hardship, an attorney may request, via an application to the Chief Judge, that the registration fee be waived.  Finally, attorneys admitted in the year that this renewal fee is collected (i.e., 2014) and the year prior (i.e., 2013) are exempt from this fee. See USCIT Rule 74(e)(1).
