Education:  University of Iowa College of Law, J.D., Special Honors and Distinction (2009); University of Iowa Tippie School of Management, M.B.A. (2009); University of Iowa, B.B.A. in Finance and Management, Special Honors and Distinction (2005); University of Iowa, B.A. in Political Science, Special Honors and Distinction, with a minor in German (2005). 

Career Record: Judge Westercamp began her professional career serving as a law clerk to the Hon. John A. Jarvey (retired), United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa.  She was then an associate at Jones Day in the New York City office, practicing in the business and tort litigation group, and worked in the areas of insurance recovery and securities regulation litigation.  Judge Westercamp then served as Senior Trial Counsel at the National Courts Section, Commercial Litigation Branch, Civil Division of the United States Department of Justice (DOJ), where she worked on complex commercial litigation cases, and specialized in international trade for nearly 12 years.  She regularly appeared before multiple courts, including 17 arguments before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and dozens of arguments before the United States Court of International Trade and the United States Court of Federal Claims.  She also served in the Executive Office of the President of the United States under President Donald J. Trump as Associate Counsel in White House Counsel’s Office, as a detailee from the DOJ.
