Notice of Proposed Amendments to the USCIT Rules

Pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2071(b), notice is given of certain proposed amendments to the Rules of the United States Court of International Trade.  The proposed amendments were recommended by the Court's Advisory Committee on Rules, which was appointed pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2077(b). The proposals pertain to USCIT Rules 74, 82 and Form 13.

This notice is given to provide the public, the bar and others interested in the work of the United States Court of International Trade with an opportunity to comment on the proposed amendments.  All comments received will be forwarded to the Court for consideration. Comments on the proposed amendments to Rule 74 with regard to making certain disciplinary proceedings confidential by default are particularly appreciated.

Each proposal is accompanied by commentary describing the recommended change. When viewed on the USCIT Website, recommendations for language to be deleted from each rule will appear with strikeovers, and proposed new language will appear in red.
