Law Clerks: Every year, Judge Eaton hires a law clerk for a two-year term commencing in September. Applicants must submit a cover letter, résumé, official law school transcript, two letters of reference, and one unedited writing sample (maximum of 15 pages). Law review or other publication experience, and an interest in international trade, are considered in ranking applicants. Law clerks must be willing to travel domestically for designation work in U.S. district and circuit courts. Applicants are encouraged to email application packages to RKE_Applicants@cit.uscourts.gov. Only applicants selected for an interview will be notified. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Interns: Internships are available for students in their second year of law school. All internships are unpaid positions. U.S. citizenship is required. To apply, submit a cover letter, résumé, two letters of recommendation, law school transcript, and a writing sample of the applicant’s own work to RKE_Applicats@cit.uscourts.gov.
