United States Court of International Trade

Open a Case in CM/ECF starting October 11, 2006

The Court is pleased to announce the ability to open cases using CM/ECF. Registered e-filing members of the Court's CM/ECF system will have the ability to open a case on-line beginning October 11, 2006.

The Court will be offering training on this new feature.

Training will focus on opening new cases in the system, paying fees using Pay.gov and verifying payment for the cases opened. The training will cover opening a 1581(a) case, filing a 1581(a) Summons and Complaint, and opening a 1581(c) and (i) case. The training will last approximately 1.5 hours. Attorneys who attend training will earn 1.0 credit hours toward New York's Law Practice Management requirement. Please refer to the Court's web site for a copy of the training schedule for both New York City and Washington, DC, through December 2006.

If you have any questions regarding the case opening portion of CM/ECF, please contact the Court's Help Desk at 1-866-450-1859.
