Attorney Online Practice Filings & Quiz

Instructions

1. You must complete the practice filings & quiz to have your login and password activated for e-filing.  Follow the instructions for each part below.
2. You will need your Training Database login and password to complete the practice filings.  Before starting your assignment, review the Court's Rules and Administrative Order No. 02-01.  You also should use the CM/ECF User's Manual to assist you with the practice filings.  All of these documents can be found on the Court's website at: www.cit.uscourts.gov.
3. When you have completed the assignment, please send an e-mail to: sam_fong@cit.uscourts.gov.  You may provide your answers to the quiz in the e-mail. Upon successful completion, you will receive an e-mail notifying you that your login and password have been activated for e-filing.

Part 1 - Open a CIT case
All the case opening information is provided in the documents below.  Please use them to open a CIT case.  When the Pay.gov system prompts for the filing fee, please pay using Master Card number 5111111111111118 with expiration date 10/2011 & the security code 998.

Part 2 – Case Docketing
Please complete and file the following documents in the case you opened in Part 1:

1. Form 11 Notice of Appearance
2. Consent Motion for Extension of Time to File a Dispositive Motion
3. Motion for Summary Judgment with an attachment entitled Exhibit A

Part 3 - Quiz
