United States Court of International Trade Website Posting for Immediate E-Mail Notification on Filings Standard Court procedure is to send notices of electronic filing (NEF) to registered CM/ECF users in a single summary e-mail for all activity that occurred in their cases the prior day. It has come to our attention that there is a need among certain filers to receive notifications at the time of filing. For example, when filings are done on the filing deadline, under the current system, confirmation of the filing with a NEF is not received until after the filing deadline has passed. Thus, parties are not alerted to problems with filings until after it may be too late. In light of this, the Court is extending the option to receive each NEF as the filing occurs. In lieu of the summary NEF the following business day, each filing would generate a NEF and be sent at the time of filing. If you are interested in changing your NEF e-mail from one daily summary to a single e-mail for each filing, please forward your request in writing to cmecf_notify@cit.uscourts.gov. Each request will be confirmed with a return e-mail within 5 business days. |
