Notice of Amendments to the Rules

          The United States Court of International Trade approved certain amendments to USCIT Rules 3, 5, 10, 11, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 23.1, 23.2, 24, 25, 26, 26.1, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 44.1, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54.1, 58.1, 62, 64, 65, 65.1, 66, 67, 67.1, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 73.1, 73.2, 73.3, 74, 75, 76, 77, 82.1, 83, 84, 85, 86.1, 86.2, 87, 88, 89, and Forms 10, 11, 16-1, 16-2, 16-3, 16-4 and 16-5 on November 25, 2009, that will become effective on January 1, 2010.

        A draft of the amendments to the Rules was posted on the Court’s website for comment on September 28, 2009. The Court received no comments on the proposed rules amendments.

        Language deleted from each rule appears with strike-overs. When viewed on the USCIT Website, the proposed new language will appear in red. If the proposed amendments are downloaded to a non-color printer, the proposed new language will appear in bold.

        Notice of the amendments was transmitted to various sources for publication. If you have obtained a hard copy of the Rules from a commercial publisher, you may wish to contact that publisher to determine when it will make the amendments available.

        A copy of the amendments is available for review at the Court’s website: www.cit.uscourts.gov.
