Career Record:
With his appointment to the Court, Judge Gordon continues a career
dedicated to public service. That career began in 1977 as Assistant Counsel
at the Subcommittee on Monopolies and Commercial Law, Committee on the
Judiciary, U.S. House of Representatives. In that capacity, Judge Gordon was
the principal attorney responsible for the Customs Courts Act of 1980 that
created the U.S. Court of International Trade. After leaving Capitol Hill in
1981, Judge Gordon was on the staff at the Court, serving first as Assistant
Clerk from 1981 - 1999, and then as Clerk of the Court from 1999 until his
appointment in March 2006.
